The cost of the basic day tour includes transportation to and from your home/hotel, all entrance fees, guides, and lunch. We can also arrange evening activities in conjunction with your tour such as seeing a Peking Opera or Acrobat shows.
For our private tours, please be aware that we'd have to make many of the same arrangements as for a larger tour and that these costs would be borne by your smaller
group, so the cost per person would be higher (sometimes much higher) than the ones listed for our scheduled tours.
If you’d prefer to take a scheduled tour, please click the tab marked “Regular Tours” to check for available tours and dates.
We are unfortunately unable to provide “a la carte” services such as arranging only guides or only transportation
For those who prefer a Western-style hotel, we use the Grand Hyatt near Wangfujing. Wangfujing is Beijing’s main shopping street, close to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and convenient to other downtown locations.
You are also welcome to stay at the Bamboo Garden Hotel, a Chinese-style hotel located in one of Beijing’s many Siheyuan (courtyards). The hotel sits in a quiet alley just north of the “Back Lakes” area of Beijing.
We offer different evening meals, depending on your desired cost per person. For 100RMB a person you can enjoy a “family style” meal at a local restaurant. For 200RMB a person you can experience a cook-at-your-table Mongolian Hot Pot dinner. For 300RMB a person you can feast on Peking Duck.
