We begin our hike at a village near Beijing's border to Hebei Province. It is a beautiful village with the backdrop of red cliff, more authentic and less known than rural areas in near suburbs of Beijing.
We follow a trail behind the village, passing paddy filed and persemon trees until we reach one section of the Great Wall constructed by white stones. You can walk along at the foot of the wall or on the top (a bit dangerous) until you see the views of remote mountains and huge lakes afar. We will take a break at the border between Beijing and Hebei before we descend the hill and return to Beijing.
This is an easy hiking with he slope of 30 degree, and a small section at an incline of 45 degrees.
