CCC will lead you to walk through the Tian'anmen Square and enter into the Forbidden Ciy. Our English-speaking guide will give you informative and real explanation of the imperial palace, not only covering the history, architecture, fengshui, and rituals and life in the Forbidden City, but also the planning of the imperial walled capital (gates, walls, etc.) and present-day development.
Then we will have lunch - delicious Chinese meal - in the famous Laoshe Teahouse.
In the afternoon, we will ride on pedicab and tour through old Beiing's neighborhoods' narrow alleys (named hutong in Chinese) and courtyard houses in Xuanwu District, south of Beijing, where you will see more authentic alleys and courtyard houses, and the real life of Beijingers, visit some local homes in the neighborhood for a chat with residents, check out a small vegetable market, and stroll along Liulichang Cultural Street, a famous district in down-town Beijing that is known for a series of traditional Chinese stone dwellings housing that sells various craftwork, artistry, and antiques. It is one of Beijing's traditional old quarters.
The tour meets and ends at the Laoshe Teahouse, southwest corner of Tian'anmen Square.
