Huangshan is located in the south of Anhui province. With its 72 peaks, it is considered one of the most unique and beautiful mountain ranges in the world and it is the only mountain listed in China's Top Ten Scenic Spots. If you climb one mountain in China, let it be Huangshan ! Four features of Huangshan Scenery: Sea of clouds, strangely shaped rocks, unusual pine trees, and bubbling hot springs.

Best time to visit

The off peak season is only between Dec.1 to February. One of the most popular destination in China, it also sees frequent governmental and corporate conferences and seminars being held there, making Yellow Mountain an relatively expensive place to visit. Food and hotel price on the summit is triple the usual price. Book your hotel early enough.

Suggested Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Huangshan City
Beijing departure: Beijing - Huangshan by air 18:50-20:50 Shanghai departure: Shanghai Pudong - Huangshan 20:10--21:10
Other locales: we welcome those to join us from other locales and meet us in Huangshan.

Transfer from the airport to Hongcun Village and check in a 4-star hotel.

Day 2: Hongcun Village / Yellow Mountain
Wake up in the morning in one of the most beautiful village in China - Hongcun, an UNESCO-listed site which is well known for the design and shape of the village associated with fengshui (Chinese geomancy), and was served as shooting site for the Oscar award-winning film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". After lunch, drive to the yellow Mountain and enjoy the vast and magic scenery on Huangshan and stay overnight in a 4-star hotel on the summit.

Day 3:  Ancient Villages / Fly out
Get up early to see the sunrise, and hike some other parts of the scenery in the mountain and drive down the mountain to visit an ancient street in the center of Huangshan city and have dinner in a Anhui flavour restaurant before departing for airport. 
Huangshan - Beijing (arrival around 11-12pm)
Huangshan - Shanghai Pudong (arrival around 11-12pm)

Note:
1. There will be quite some climbing up and down the mountain (along steps) in order to enjoy dreamy views from different perspectives, even though you ride cable car to the top. Of course you can skip some climbing in the itinerary and only do the best part.
2. Please bring smaller and lighter baggage if you don't feel good to have porters to carry it up by foot from cable car station to the summit hotel.
