Are there differences between Chinese democracy and western democracy in terms of definition, and how would this difference originate? Hypothetically, the current ruling party of China is replaced, would western democracy affect lifestyle and society here in China, especially in rural areas; How to restrict the Party's power and the government's power, and further avoid abusing privilege? and what are the difficulties of practicing democracy in China at present?

Cheng Xiaoxia, associate professor of China Politics and Law University and expert Group on Social System Engineering (EGSSE), will elaborate all above mentioned issues. And then she will discuss with CCC audience on if democracy looks different depending on the culture of the country in which it develops, and Is there a model of democracy that would be best suited for a country like China-" democracy with Chinese characteristics".
