Our stress management expert Elyn MacInnis will explain the science behind stress reduction using sounds and music. Music alone is relaxing - but scientists have discovered in the last 20 years that deep states of meditation can be reached by including alpha and other brainwave sounds in music.

When a listener hears the rhythm-frequency (called "alpha") that is reached by the brain during meditation, it will automatically begin to enhance its own levels of that particular brainwave frequency. If you listen to six minutes of sounds and/or music with that frequency, your brain will also "go with the music" and have enhanced levels of that frequency, lowering stress and providing deep relaxation. Come and learn about it - and de-stress in the process.
