There are many greeting words in Chinese, and some of them are related to "busy", especially in modern times. When picking up a call from a friend, you may ask: "are you busy recently?" or "what are you busy with?" Actually, the meaning is "how are you doing recently".
The busy world is not bad, because everybody has something to do to make a living and realize their ideals. The society is in dynamic construction. But when it is busy with too much tension and exhaustion the building will be in danger of collapsing!
If we can start a busy day with a more active motive, there will be less stress. If the motive depends on win or fail, gain or loss, you will be in the tension from two sides. If the motive is to benefit others as much as you can, there will be no loss or failure.
Busy is not necessarily in a hurry; the things can be done faster or not, depends on the conditions. The time is not driving you; your boss can't really drive you. You can only be driven by your own sense of stress! So, we should remind ourselves: "be quicker, but don't hurry."
Busy is not necessarily staying with worrying. If you try to be busy to resolve worrying about the future, you can never really achieve it. To make effort for the goal in the future is not dragged by the attachment to the goal. The goal should just be a reference for how to gather and make conditions now. So, we should encourage ourselves: "work hard without worrying."
The mind is moving from one moment into another in the past, now and future, it is the way of its working. The mind is busy, but also calm.
To be busy is not bad; to be busy as not busy is better : )
