Everybody has a different world, for we have different “mind mirrors” to reflect reality. Each mirror of ours has irregular facets in varied angles, so that we can never see the world in full-scale. The world is broken into pieces by individual views, like the fragmentary images in waving water.
To realize the One Mind is not to ask everyone to think in the same way, but to free oneself from the boundary of independent reflection, which is enhanced by clinging to the delusive inherent self. When the reality of dependent arising is covered by habitual illusive independent realm, the discriminative mind occupies the moments of life.
To restore the original face of every moment is the first step to recover the One Mind. When you are attracted by one pair of “handsome” shoes, be aware of “being attracted” and think how this “handsome” concept is disguised by the veil of your habitual illusive independent realm. When you loose patience with something or somebody, be aware of “loosing patience” and ponder about what is tearing you away from the moment of now and separating you from something or somebody? When the pain emerges in some parts of you, be aware of “pain on body” and how you make it into “suffering in mind”…… The practice of four mindfulness is all the way to discover the One Mind.
You may wonder: If there’s a “One” Mind, who will be the independent host? The answer will be: If there’s an independent host, that should be “dependent arising without inherent self” : )
