For the students who have attend 2-3 sessions (8-12 lessons), are recommended to join the intermediate class for further study and enjoy deeper about art of calligraphy. During the intermediate class we’ll learn and practice cursive style, which is regarded as the most artistic style. Besides enjoying the peace and ease of writing, you can also learn a lot of knowledge about Chinese script and cultural background, which express the inspiration of ancient masters.
During each lesson, we will write several characters collected from the Thousand Character Classic (千字文), which is a Chinese poem used as a primer for teaching Chinese characters to children in ancient time. It contains exactly one thousand unique characters and is composed of 250 phrases of 4 characters each from "天地玄黃" (tiān dì xuán huáng) to "焉哉乎也" (yān zāi hū yě). Many ancient grand calligraphers wrote this classic in varied styles of calligraphy, especially the cursive style.
