In small groups of 3-5 people, students will focus on a different real-life situation each week. They will spend 2 hours in the classroom learning key words, simple and complex phrases and of course some cultural background. Students will then spend 1.5 hours outside of classroom in a real-life situation practicing what they’ve learnt and solving problems with the teacher’s help.
There are 8 real-life situations to be covered including ‘shopping in a market’, ‘going to the tailor’ and ‘eating out’. Special practical teaching materials have been designed which students can refer to both during and after the class.
In order to offer the most flexibility, participants can also choose to take the Practical Mandarin course and the Meandering Mandarin course simultaneously in order to take advantage of the language practices to help them improve listening and speaking skills efficiently. It is also at your option to come separately for several sessions of this course that really interest you.

Taking a taxi
In a tailor' s shop
Massage
Renting an apartment
