    Introduction to Chinese painting
Chinese painting is one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world. Ink and wash painting is an East Asian type of brush painting. It is also known as wash painting. The xieyi style 写意(free-hand) is one of the two major techniques of Chinese painting. (The other style is "Meticulous - Gong-bi (工笔)" , which is often referred to as "court-style" painting.

Chinese Ink & Water Painting or Brush Painting falls into three major categories in terms of subjects:
  • Bird, Flower, Animal
  • Landscape
  • Figure, Folklore, Religion

    Chinese Landscape Painting
Viewing Chinese landscape paintings, it is clear that Chinese depictions of nature are seldom mere  representations of the external world. Rather, they are expressions of the mind and heart of the individual artists—cultivated landscapes that embody the culture and cultivation of their masters. Painting became a means of conveying the inner landscape of the artist's heart and mind.

Come and learn this art with prestigious artists invited by CCC. The  painting course is specially designed for Westerners, and assisted with English interpretation.
