Beijing Amblers explores the Northern suburb of Changping. We will first take an easy hike up a hill for Buddhist carvings on the hillside (Moya shike in Chinese) - three Buddha statues carved on the rock; then walk into wood and through a tiny village to look for the Imperial Peking–Kalgan Railway (now the "Jingzhang" Railway), the first section of railway designed and built by Chinese without foreign assistance. It was constructed between 1905 and 1909, connecting Beijing with Zhangjiakou (Kalgan) by the chief engineer is Jeme Tien Yow (Zhan Tianyou), who was educated in the United States and is known as the "Father of China's Railroad. He overcame the steep gradient near Badaling using a switchback.
We will also pass by Juyong Pass of the Great Wall, stop by and take a picture of the pass tower from a perfect angle; and visit an ancient village with 1,000 years old Ginkgo Tree.

Kids make their own lunch on the professional barbecue table with fishes and vegetables.
